SNA AIRPORT CONCESSIONS PROGRAM
ORANGE COUNTY, CALIFORNIA
Our design proposal for Orange County’s John Wayne International Airport (SNA) provides its travelers with first-rate customer experience and amenities while highlighting key Southern California elements to provide a unique sense of place.
The Pacific Coast’s relaxed breezy elegance inspired one section of our program, featuring modern curved and fluid lines etched across a beachy Riviera-style palette. We also drew from the area’s bustling Hispanic heritage, pairing the large-scale color blocking of famed Mexican architect Luis Barragan with hot pink accents that represent local Chicano culture. We further accentuated these concepts with warm colors and energetic decorative tiles.
A critical part of this program is our cloud kitchen offering, which allows multiple restaurants to operate using one shared kitchen operation. This drastically reduces initial build-out costs and overall footprint, which enables participation from smaller authentic local brands that may not otherwise have access to airport concessions operations.
